What are Shinkin Banks? |
|
 |
Shinkin banks were created by order
for Enforcement of Shinkin Bank Law in June 1951 as
cooperative financial institutions to serve the needs of
small and medium-sized enterprises and local residents.
They are cooperative organizations based on the
philosophy of mutual support, and the basis of their
operation is formed by responding to the needs of
members, users and local regions.
And their functions are almost the same as those of
commercial banks based on publicity, their functions are
almost the same as those of commercial banks, and they
also deal with many people who are not members,
accepting deposits, providing exchange services,
accepting various payments including those for public
utilities, and engaging in over-the-counter sales of
public bonds, investment trusts, and insurance.

Our building "Chuo

was built with the notion of
"A
human, community, environmental-friendly
building" in consideration for various
environmental items ; energy saving,
recycling capabilities, amenity space,
assimilating to the landscape, etc.
Because of our important consideration of
these items, it was selected as one of the
certified buildings of CASBEE(Comprehensive
Assessment System for Built Environment
Efficiency), which assessment tool based on
the environmental performance of building,
with its great ranking "Rank S",
the first in Tohoku District, among the
national financial institutions.
In the building, we set
"Nagomi (comforting)Terrace"
a comfortable space with displays of
community works and "Room for Baby, Papa&Mama"
a waiting room for clients with young
children. Nursing Room, Multipurpose
Restroom, Powder Room, are also provided.
